Producto engrasante y Acondicionador facial . limpieza geles INCI: GLYCERYL MONO-OLEATE) IMWITOR 948 is an amber-coloured. oily liquid which can partly solidify at room temperature (reversible). It is a hydrophilic lipid which – by adding water – forms a gel and is able to build highly ordered cubic phases which enables sustained release of various water soluble drugs. IMWITOR 948 is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents. HLB value: ~ 3 Typical dosage: 1-3 % APLICACIONES: IMWITOR 948 is used in topical formulations as emollient and as co-emulsifying agent for oil-in-water emulsions as well as in oral formulations. In contact with small amounts of water it forms a slight gel with mucoadhesive function. Therefore it is used e.g. in dental preparations. It also acts as a stabilizer in oil-in-water emulsions. Solubility IMWITOR 948 is soluble in chloroform. ethanol. diethyl ether. vegetable oils and MCT oils like MIGLYOL 812 N
